NORWAY has reported an alarming death of 23 elderly people shortly after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.

Norwegian Medicines Agency in a statement, said, a total of 23 people died within days of receiving their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine against coronavirus.

The Pfizer vaccine requires two doses separated by 21 days. It must be stored in an ultra-cold freezer, thermal shipping container, or refrigerator.

According to Dr. Sigurd Hortemo, chief physician at the Norwegian Medicines Agency, common side effects like fever and nausea “may have contributed to a fatal outcome in some frail patients.”

Doctors have said the adverse reactions were seen among people aged over 80 years who already have a frail body.

Experts have said 13 of the 23 people who died have shown common symptoms of mRNA vaccines such as diarrhea, nausea and fever.

Pfizer however, has temporarily reduced its vaccine supply in Europe following the concerns raised with the deaths in Norway.
