Rev. Fr. John Konyeke, on Sunday, marked his 17th year as a Priest with thanksgiving at St. Columba Catholic Church, Agbor.
Delivering a Homily at the Thanksgiving Mass, Rev. Fr. Henry Agwaziam, admonished Christians to seek the wisdom of God.
According to him, with God’s wisdom, Christians will enjoy a lot of benefits, asserting, “the Lord said, seek ye first the Kingdom of God and everything will be added to you.
“We suffer because we have missed the tracks, my brothers and sisters, seek wisdom, gain insight and discernment, avoid distractions, seek God, rely on God.
“Look at Jesus Christ, at the age of 12, He was already in the temple, Jesus keyed into the plans of His father.
“Let us not be drunk with wine of aiding and abetting evil, let us go down on our knees and know what God has for us.
“Thank you for your prayers for Priests, your support for Priests and to our dear Fr. John who is celebrating 17 years in the Priesthood, congratulations and may God continue to bless you through Christ our Lord. Amen.”
Fr. Konyeke who led other parishioners to thank God for His goodness, thanked the Bishop of Issele-Uku Diocese, Most Rev. Michael Elue, Priests, Formators, Parishioners, Members of his family.

“I thank God Almighty for the sacred Priesthood instituted by Christ Himself on Holy Thursday
“Whenever you see that we are not doing well as Priests, call us to order, don’t hesitate to treat us as your children who are your Priests,” Fr. Konyeke said.
