NO matter the situation a Christian may find himself, all that is required of him is to believe in God and not despair, Rev. Fr. Victor Ijeh has said.
Delivering a Homily on Sunday morning at the Catholic Church of the Ascension, Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria, the Catholic Priest asserted that every creature obeys God and as such, Christians should always look up to Him for solutions to their challenges.
Fr. Ijeh said, “Do not be afraid, only believe. He is God, that can never change and everything about Him is great.
“You have a mighty God, the God of the living, so, everything and every creature obeys Him. Call on Him in truth and He will answer you.
“You are serving a living God; the devil has come to steal, to kill and destroy but, when you believe in God, God will heal you and restore all that you have lost.
“He sent His Word, His Son that we will have life and have it in abundance, so, do not despair, believe.
“This is a year of testimonies, year of promotions.
“God does not leave without blessing somebody, He said, ‘only believe.'”
The celebration of the Holy Mass featured special thanksgiving by parishioners.
