TRADITIONAL rulers of Ejeme-Aniogor and Ejeme-Unor Kingdoms in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM Anthony Onwelikwu Ogboli and HRM Obi Godwin Nzemeke respectively, have assured Rev. Fr. John Konyeke of their support as he thanks God for his fifteenth year in the Priesthood.
Speaking separately in their Palaces on Sunday afternoon when Fr. Konyeke visited them, the tradional rulers observed that Fr. Konyeke as a Priest of the Most High God, is playing a lot of roles in the life of the people.
HRH Nzemeke of Ejeme Unor specifically said, “I will inform my Chiefs and the people of my Kingdom about the coming event.
“We all look up to our Father in heaven and you are His Priest, so, we shall identify with you.
“We are happy that this time around, you are coming home to celebrate your fifteenth year in the Priest, in the service of man and God.”
At Ejeme-Aniogor where the Thanksgiving Mass will hold on Saturday, September 10, 2022, HRM Ogboli who was with his Council of Chiefs, described Fr. Konyeke as a good ambassador of the Kingdom.
He said, “you are representing us well as a Priest, you are encouraging a lot of Christians and we are proud of your activities as a Priest.
“We are aware that the event is taking place here and we are also preparing, be rest assured that we will continue to support you as our son.”
Comrade Fidelis Egugbo who spoke on behalf of Fr. Konyeke had told the traditional rulers that the fact that Fr. Konyeke is a student of the Catholic Institute of West Africa (CIWA), Port Harcourt has made all parishioners of the Catholic Churches that he has celebrated the Holy Mass to be his parishioners and are prepared to be in Ejeme-Aniogor for the celebration.
Egugbo stated that the visits were important to intimate the tradional rulers of the coming event and to solicit for their support and that of their subjects.
Mr Peter Dumbili of the Catholic Church of the Ascension, Asaba, was among those who accompanied Fr. Konyeke on the visits.
