THE Directorate of Education, Women and Youths, of Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), Anambra State chapter has organised prayers sessions for the restoration of sanity, morality and total well being of Nigerians.
Newsden reports that the group asked God to intervene in challenges facing the world and Nigeria in particular in a time like this.
They also, prayed for themselves as they were newly elected to pilot the affairs of CAN.
Speaking shortly after the prayers held at Christ Holy Church International No 1, Awka, the Chairman of CAN, Anambra State, Revd Dr. John Ndubisi, said prayer is the master key to all things and reminded Christians that when they pray always, there will be divine directions which will lead them to grace, good performance and prayerful life.
Ndubisi, Christians to have faith in God, so as to carry out their duties as expected while they sustain mission and evangelism.
The Chairperson of Women Wing of CAN, Barr. Mercy Ndubisi said women will come together, exhibit responsibilities of virtuous woman to show that women are perfect being in the society and uphold the tenets of Christianity in relationships.
Also, the Director for Education, Women and Youths Development, CAN, Pastor Patrick Orogbu, said, it is their responsibility to back the society with prayers in ensuring that peace reign in all the nook and crannies of the society.
He commended Governor Obiano for what he is doing in Education and Youths sectors, stating that they will harness the youths for a greater potential.
In their separate speeches, the Chairman Of Youth Wing, CAN Brother Kingsley Nwokoye and Secretary of CAN, Bishop Moses Ezedebego lamented that some youths have derailed while most of them engage in immoral way of life stating however that with prayers, they will align with the tenets of the church and impact positively on the society.
