THE Urhobo Economic and Investment Group, a non governmental organization in conjunction with Urhobo professionals, will on Thursday, 25 November, 2021, host the Urhobo nation to the 4th economic and investment summit.
According to a statement by the Convener of the Summit, Kingsley Ubiebi, the summit, which has been tagged “Ekpo Baro” which in Urhobo means “let us make progress,” will take place at Wetland Hotel, Ughelli, Delta State.
Ubiebi disclosed that investors, industrialists, entrepreneurs, academics, policy-makers, politicians, youths and women associations and traditional rulers are expected to grace the occasion.
The summit, with the theme, “Industrialisation and the path to Urhobo Prosperity” is expected to kick-start an economic revolution, which will alter positively the socio-economic landscape of Urhobo nation.
Director-General of the Delta State Investment and Development Agency (DIDA), Olorogun Lucky Oghene-Omoru, and the Executive Director, Business Development, Hon. Stella Erhuvwuoghene Okotete, Clement Mudiaga Enajemo, Prof Dicta Ogisi, Sir Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje, Abraham Ogbodo, Dr Omonigho Benedict Otanocha, among others would speak at the event which will start at 10:00 am.
Arc. (Chief) Charles Majoroh will be the Chairman of the occasion, while Delta State Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege will be Special Guests of Honour.
Ubiebi further stated that National Assembly Members from Delta Central, State House of Assembly and Local Government Chairmen will be Guests of Honour while Traditional rulers in Urhoboland will be royal fathers of the day.
