CHAIRMAN, Delta State Internal Revenue Service, Sir Monday Onyeme has described the newly elected Chairman of Delta State Football Association (DFA), Hon. Kenneth Nwaomucha, as a square peg in a square hole.
Speaking at a novelty football match in honour of Nwaomucha at the Kwale Township Stadium, Onyeme noted that Nwaomucha’s humility has distinguished him as someone who will excel in his activities.
He said, “I am very happy and overwhelmed today to be present in this great occasion.
“I want to say here that our son, Kenneth Nwaomucha is a square peg in a square hole, and as such, deserves the position of football Chairman in the state.
“He is a worthy son of Ndokwa nation who distinguished himself as a footballer in his playing days in various clubs and the national team.
“He brought fame to Ndokwa land with the game of football, so he deserves to be honoured.
“He is also very humle in every sphere of life and I am happy to be with him in this occasion.”
Chief Onyeme went on to give cash donations to the two teams – Ndokwa All stars and Delta All Stars who thrilled the large crowd with scintillating moves as well as the Delta All Stars Association, the umbrella body of All Stars Footballers.
Other dignitaries present at the occasion who also gave their support, include the Deputy Speaker Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ochor C. Ochor and the member representing Ndokwa West Constituency in the state assembly, Hon. Charles Emetulu.
Hon. Ken Nwaomucha after receiving the plaque of honour from Chief Festus Ochonogor, thanked everyone who came to honour him, noting that he will reciprocate the gesture by serving his people and entire state well with his position as Chairman Delta State Football Association.
