TO encourage more youths to embrace education, a non-governmental organization, Kids Right Foundation (KRF) through State of Youth, (SoY), Delta Chapter, is organising debates for some selected schools.
Leader of the SoY, Delta Chapter, Mr Ejimchi Collins Peter-Dumbili, made the disclosure in a chat with Newsden in Asaba.
According to him, “We are organizing a campaign, ‘School is not a scam 2,’ on October 1, 2021.
“The debate which will take place at St. Augustine’s College, Ibusa will feature ten schools.
“The success recorded with the first edition of school is not a scam debate which took place at Niger Mixed Secondary School 1, Asaba has given us a boost to embark on the second edition.
“It is important that we encourage students to remain committed to education and also, make others who have abandoned school to go back to education.
“For this edition, the Director-General of Delta State Orientation Bureau, Barr. Eugene Uzum, the Special Assistant (Media) to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Comrade Fidelis Egugbo and Mr Tony Obuh Jnr, Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State will be present to talk to the students.
“As an NGO that is committed to a better society, we have also, distributed food items at Okwe, Oshimili South Local Government Area to sensitize the people on the need to share because with such, we can achieve zero hunger in the society.”
