Rev. Fr. Hilary Ibegbulem has admonished Christians to have unwavering faith in God as their reward is eternal life.
Delivering a Homily on Sunday morning at the celebration of the Holy Mass at the Catholic Church of the Ascension, Asaba, Delta State, the Priest stated that God does not discriminate and has eternal life as reward for all those who believe in Him.
Making reference to the “Parable of the Labourer in the Vineyard,” the Catholic Priest emphasised that what matters mainly “is perseverance to the end.
“God keeps calling people to Him and it is our duty to respond, embrace Christianity and have unwavering faith in Him.
“It is the same reward of eternal life that God will give everyone who will persevere to the end.
“It is about finishing well, persevere to the end, as that will determine if we will still receive the same reward.
“Let us continue to strive, remain steadfast in our faith as Christians.
“It is not how long that we have stayed as Christians, it is about how we end the race, no matter the situation, the distractions, we must persevere to finish the race as good Christians, true believers in our Lord, Jesus Christ for us to enjoy eternal life as our reward.”
The Holy Mass featured special thanksgiving by the Parishioners.
