THE remains of Senator Patrick Osakwe will be interred on Friday, August 19, 2022, a statement signed by his son, Sir Christopher Osakwe said.
Senator Osakwe until his death, was a successful businessman, politician and family man who among other businesses, established Flash Airlines, Flash Flamingos Football Club, Flash Pools, Evidence Motors, and others; he represented Delta North Senatorial District for three consecutive times.
Until his passage at the age of 73 years, Senator Osakwe who was respectfully greeted, ‘Ochiosa’ was a member of the Delta State Elders and Advisory Council.
According to the statement signed by Sir Osakwe, a former Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Council and presently, the Executive Assistant to Delta State Governor, there will be novelty football match on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City between Flash Flamingos and All Stars of Benin starting from 4 pm.
On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, “his body arrives Benin City in a motorcade to his residence at 2 pm. Vigil Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church, 30 Airport Road, Benin City at 4 pm.
“Thursday, August 18, 2022, body departs for his home town, Ugiliamai, Onicha-Ukwuani, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State at 8 am. Vigil Mass at St. St. Augustine Catholic Church, Ugiliamai at 4 pm.
“On Friday, August 19, 2022, Funeral Mass at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Ugiliamai at 10 am. Internment follows at his residence. Reception of guests at Mixed Secondary School, Ugiliamai at 1 pm.”
