THE Feast of Ascension has reinvigorated Christians all over the world to proclaim that Jesus Christ is alive.
Rev. Fr. Innocent Ogbu stated this on Sunday morning during the celebration of Holy Mass which he co-celebrated with Rev. Fr. Hilary Ibegbulem at the Catholic Church of the Ascension, Asaba, Delta State. Fr. Ibegbulem is the Priest in Charge of Catholic Church of the Ascension Parish.
According to Fr. Ogbu, it was a thing of joy to recall and celebrate the ascension of Jesus Christ.
He stated that, “with the mandate of the ascension of Jesus, God will always make way where there seems to be no way.”
He charged Christians to be more committed to winning souls for Christ and engaging in exemplary actions.
The Catholic Priest said, “With the Feast of Ascension, you should be able to convince people that He is alive, you should be able to win souls for our Lord, Jesus Christ.
“The Spirit of God emboldens you, it makes you not to walk alone, it gives you assurance that someone is always by your side walking with you.
“Prepare yourself for the Holy Spirit, the spirit of breakthrough, the spirit that destroys spirits that are not of God, the spirit that you must have as followers of Jesus Christ.
“With God in you, you cannot lack, so, believe and rely on Him.
“Be kind and generous in giving.”
