NANKA Young Stars Foundation, founded by Mr. Chike Ezegbo has donated a furnished 2-bedroom flat to an indigent widow, Mrs. Eucharia Ezeokeke of Agbiligba Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Traditional Ruler of Nanka, Igwe Ogochukwu Ezeilo, while inaugurating the house project on Wednesday, commended Nanka Young Stars Foundation for positive impact they were making in the Nanka Community; especially for building this house for the widow and her family.
“My heart is gladdened with joy as our youths have decided to follow the good path. They indeed made me proud. I urge them to continue the good work.
“We are solidly behind them. God bless and prosper them in all their endeavours,” Igwe Ezeilo said.
President-General, Nanka Patriotic Union, Mr. Paul Chinedu praised Nanka Young Stars for achieving such great feat and for bringing such an initiative and development into the Ezeokeke family and Nanka in general. “God will reward and bless them greatly.
“We are happy at what they have done. This is exactly what we want in this community.
“I enjoin every Nanka indigene to pursue peace, love and unity. With this, our progress and development is assured,” he said.
Mr. Chike Ezegbo, founder Nanka Young Stars Foundation was represented by chairman of the occasion, Mr Chibuogu Nwankwo.
He said: “I thank every member of this foundation, who was behind this project of erecting a befitting edifice for our sister, Mrs Eucharia Ezeokeke, a success.”
Mr. Nwankwo said that the aim of this foundation was to help to show love to the Nanka community through charity work and empowerment.
“It was when we were going round the villages distributing our COVID -19 palliatives to the indigent persons, that we met this widow in a terrible condition, living in a dilapidated mud house with leaking roof.
“We were touched and decided to change her condition. And today, we are gathered here with Igwe Ezeilo, Mr. Paul Chinedu, Mr. Damian Okeke-Ogene to officially inaugurate and handover this fully furnished two bedroom apartment to Mrs. Ezeokeke and her family.
“We say big thanks to our special guests. If we were not united, we could not have achieved this great.
“The success of this project is simply tied to the fact that we have the same goals and vision. God bless us all,” he said.
Site manager for the building project, Mr. Ugochukwu Okafor expressed gratitude to God for a successful completion of the project.
According to him, it is not easy, we experienced challenges but by the grace of God, it has become a reality.
“And we are here today, to hand the house over to the family and rejoice with them. We thank everyone who contributed in cash and otherwise.”
Mr. Okafor also admonished the youths to shun crime and violence as it could only lead them to destruction.
Chairman Agbiligba Development Union, Mr. Joseph Madubuko also thanked Nanka young stars for the great achievement and prayed to God to reward them immensely for remembering their sister.
The beneficiary, Mrs. Eucharia Ezeokeke thanked them saying: “my heart is filled with joy and gratitude to Nanka young stars for this beautiful and well furnished house.
“I pray for prosperity, good health, and blessings upon all those who contributed toward this project. God bless you all abundantly,” he prayed.
Mr. Anayochukwu Ezeokeke, son of the widow, who could not contain his joy, expressed immense gratitude to God and the young Star foundation.
“We lost our father while we were still little and since then life has been miserable for us and our mother. But today, God has remembered us through this foundation. We sincerely thank them and ask God to pour out showers of blessings upon them.”
Mr. Anayochukwu Olisakwe, a physically challenged, who also received an automatic mobile wheelchair from Nanka Young Stars, expressed gratitude to the foundation.
“Life was difficult for me as I could not go anywhere until this foundation donated this automatic wheelchair to me which has made life easier now. I can go anywhere I want because of them. It shall be well with them,” he said.
