CHRISTIANS have been urged to always pray as their prayers will be answered.
Rev. Fr. Hilary Ibegbulem made the call on Sunday morning while delivering a Homily at the Catholic Church of the Ascension, Asaba, Delta State.
The Priest noted that God cannot get tired of granting the requests of those who ask, noting that a classical example was the prayer of Abraham for God to spare the righteous ones in Sodom and Gomorrah.
Fr. Ibegbulem said, “Persevering in our prayers is very important; we should pray till we get results.
“Do not give up in prayers; Abraham never gave up in prayers.
“If we cannot disturb God with our requests, who are we going to disturb?
“He said, ‘I am God, not man, so, do not stop asking for what you need.’
“Pray consistently, pray always; we always have so many things that we want God to do for us despite the fact that God has done so much for us.
“Do not give up, keep praying and praying till something happens; Abraham kept praying, asking that God should not destroy even a single righteous man in Sodom and Gomorrah which God granted.
“Jesus did not only teach His disciples how to pray, He also, taught them how to pray persistently.
“Do not give up, take the problem to God in prayers; if God does not grant your request today, He can grant it tomorrow, He can grant your request soon.
“God cannot stop answering us, He cannot get tired of granting our requests, so, don’t stop asking.”
The Holy Mass featured special thanksgiving by parishioners.
