A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Malachy Okonkwo, has said that when Christians call the name of God in faith, He answers.
Delivering a Homily on Sunday morning at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, the Priest asserted that God answers prayers.
The Holy Mass was to thank God by Mrs Marian Nweke for surviving an auto -accident.
“If you have survived a fatal accident, you will know that you cannot thank God enough for His protection.
“When you see things that happens on the road, you will say, God thank you.
“We thank God for the life of our sister, Marian, but if you have survived from January, you have more reasons to say, God, who am I? Thank you.
“No matter what you have experienced, be grateful to God; no matter, what you encounter, call His name with faith and He will answer you.
“It is important for you to change your lifestyle, change your associations and know how to move forward for better results.
“Never underestimate the power of simple prayers, sometimes, you shout the name of Jesus in faith and things happen for your good,” Fr. Malachi said.
He further urged Christians, to serve God with whatever they have and wherever they find themselves.
“Do not allow sin to grow in your life; say no to sin; wickedness; sometimes in our society, we practice jungle justice, it is wrong; you that is engaging in such action, would you say that you are not committing sin?
“There are lots of fake things in our market, that is sin, some people are selling expired drugs, that is sin, you should avoid such lifestyle for you to have peace, peace of mind.
“We should engage in positive activities and live like Jesus Christ; whatever you know that is wrong, avoid it.”
Mrs Nweke was accompanied by her husband, Stephens, family members, colleagues, friends during the thanksgiving.
