THE Provost, Delta State College of Health Technology, Ofuoma-Ughelli, Chief (Mrs) Augustina Erah, Ph.D, has confirmed that she will be personally present at this year’s edition of Maris Annual Public Lecture to discuss the topic, “Provision of Infrastructure As Catalyst For Growth Of Democratic Governments.”
Secretary, Maris Trust Council, MTC, Comrade Fidelis Egugbo, made the disclosure in a statement which was made available to journalists in Asaba, Delta State.
According to him, the Commissioner for Finance, Delta State, an astute administrator and financial expert, Chief Fidelis Tilije, will deliver the lecture while Dr Erah, will join three other persons to discuss the topic.
He said, “today, we can confirm to the public that the Provost, Delta State College of Health Technology, Ofuoma-Ughelli, Chief Mrs Augustina Era, Ph.D, will be one of the discussants at this year’s lecture.
“The choice of Dr Erah as a discussant was borne out of the fact that she is well educated and has been managing an institution where provision of infrastructure is very critical.
“Evidently, this year’s lecture promises a lot for the society with the array of personalities who have indicated interests to personally attend the lecture.
“Dr. Gabriel Ogbechie, OON, Group Managing Director, Rainoil Limited will Chair the occasion and wife of former Deputy Governor of Delta State, Lady Esther Elue will be at the lecture as Mother of the Day.
“We thank Dr. Erah for accepting to attend the lecture as a discussant,” Egugbo said.
He added that Dr. Erah would attend the lecture with management team from the College of Health Technology, adding that the lecture is not restrictive to well-mannered individuals from all walks of life.
Egugbo said, “there is no doubt that nobody is useless in the society, but this lecture is for the serious-minded persons because it is a serious lecture where the challenges of the society will be dissected and solutions proffered.
“The lecture will hold at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba on Wednesday April 12, 2023 from 12 noon.”
