Anambra State Government says it has mobilized the contractor handling the Amansea/Awa/Ndiukwuenu/Ufuma road project back to site.
The Commissioner for Works, Mr. Marcel Ifejiofor who disclosed this during the maiden edition of ‘Meet the Media,” an exclusive insight into the activities of the Obiano administration assured that the Obiano-led government will complete all ongoing road projects in the State.
The media engagement took place at the Jerome Udorji Secretariat Complex in Awka.
The Media engagement was geared towards informing the State citizenry of the efforts of the Willie Obiano administration through the Works Ministry on roads and other related infrastructure in Anambra State.
The Commissioner stressed that the Obiano administration has focused on the construction of roads with high economic importance across the state.
He pointed out that a total of seventy-seven road contracts have been awarded and ongoing in Anambra North, seventy-two roads in Anambra Central and fifty-three roads in Anambra South Senatorial District.
Mr. Ifejiofor an Engineer stated that the Obiano administration inherited and completed six bridges, and awarded twenty, out of which eight have been completed with twelve ongoing.
He assured that the present administration remains committed to completing many roads during the dry season.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. James Eze, his Deputy, Mr. Emeka Ozumba, among other Media stakeholders, attended the event.
