GOVERNOR of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has been commended for his notable developmental projects in Aniocha South Local Government Area and the state at large.
Members of New Era Movement, Aniocha South Chapter made the commendation in a chat with newsmen at Ogwashi-uku.
The members who who spoke through their Aniocha South chapter Coordinator, Mr Tony Okonji said that Senator Okowa was a visionary governor development agenda spread across the entire state.
They said that Aniocha South LGA would move to a greater heigh if a visionary chairman with the fear of God was elected to pilot the affairs of the council in the up coming local government elections.
They said as council elections draw near in the state, that it was pertinent for the people to take a cursory look at the dwindling resources against rising expectations in relation to the strength and capabilities of the aspirants seeking the driver’s seat as chairman.
The movement said that many aspirants might be interested in contesting for chairmanship of the council but the most important thing according to them was determining one that would have the interest of the people and area at heart.
The members said that as concerned indigenes of the area that they must be very circumspect in making choice for chairmanship position to avoid electing candidates that would draw the loca government backward.
