According to Okonkwo, “when Okowa went into isolation, the people of Okpanam went into prayers because, Okpanam sees him as a son of the soil; he has done so much for us and we can stake a lot for him.
“We have being celebrating his recovery from the coronavirus; he is the only Governor that has made us feel the impact of being part of the capital territory.
“Okpanam has made a lot of sacrifices for the capital territory to be stable, we have donated land, and we are playing host to greater number of persons working in the capital territory but, we are very proud of our Governor, he made our son, Ogbueshi Patrick Ukah Commissioner for two terms and he has constructed a lot of roads in Okpanam.
“Though, due to long neglect by previous government right from military era, a lot of people who have built houses in Amachai and other places have no access roads.
“Also, we have called on our representatives at the National Assembly to help us attract at least one major road project as we will like to move from Okpanam through Amachai to our local government headquarter at Akwukwu Igbo or go to Ibusa without passing through Asaba.
“Such roads will also ease off traffic on the expressway as some persons may like to drive leisurely through the road up to Issele-Uku.
“Kindly tell our Governor that we appreciate him, he is truly, Ekweme and God will continue to protect him and his family in Jesus name. Amen.”
