The Senator representing Delta North, Sen. Ned Nwoko and the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, have paid condolence visits to Chief Godswill Obielum over the demise of his mother, Mrs Victoria Ossai Obielum.
While Sen. Nwoko visited on Monday, Rt. Hon. Guwor paid his condolence visit on Tuesday.
Sen. Nwoko told Chief Obielum that the people of Delta North identify with him in his moments of grief, assuring that he will always have him and members of his family in prayers.
Also, the Speaker told Chief Obielum, a Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the state, that he was saddened by the news of the death of his mother, hence the visit to commiserate with him and the entire family.
Accompanied by Deputy Majority Whip, of the House, Hon Prince Emeka Osamuta and the member representing Ika North East constituency, Hon Marylyn Okowa-Daramola, Rt Hon Guwor urged Chief Obielum to take solace in the fact that the late mother lived a fulfilled life.
Saying that it was painful to loose a loved one with so much positive impacts, Rt Hon Guwor prayed to God to grant the late matriarch of the Obielum family, a peaceful rest.
The Speaker on behalf of his family and the entire Delta State House of Assembly, also asked God to grant Chief Obielum and other relatives, the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
“I have come to commiserate with you on the transition to eternal glory of your beloved mother. Though painful but she died at very ripe age.
“As a mother you will surely miss her. However, I joined others to thank God for her life and enjoy you and your siblings to take heart as Mama lived a fulfilled life.
“May her gentle soul rest in the bossom of our Lord”, Guwor stated.
Responding, Chief Obielum thanked the Speaker for the visit, saying “it gladdens my heart to receive you in my residence in Asaba.
“Mr Speaker, I appreciate your coming, humility and words of encouragement”, He said.
