A political stalwart, Chief Godwill Obielum, legal icon, Prof. Fidelis Oditah QC, SAN and Prof. Steve Agwo Okecha have sent messages of condolence to Comrade Fidelis Egugbo, the Senior Special Assistant, Media to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, over the death of his mother, Deaconess Mary Egugbo.
Deaconess Egugbo passed on to glory on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the age of 70 years.
Chief Obielum, Prof. Oditah, and Prof. Okecha, sent messages asking Egugbo and his siblings to take solace in the fact that their mother knew God and lived an impactful life.
Chief Obielum stated that, “the loss of a loved one, especially, that of a mother can be very painful and at times like this, we pray that God shall give you the fortitude to bear the loss.”
Prof. Oditah in his message, called, Egugbo, “my namesake,” and urged Egugbo to bear in mind that his mother was through with her work on earth and has been called by her maker.
Prof. Okecha, a renowned educationist and researcher in his message, wrote, “My dear Fidelis, I feel sad that you have lost your precious mum.
“That is certainly a big blow to you and members of your family.
“I pray God to bless her soul, and to grant you the fortitude to bear the loss.
“Fidelis, sorry oh!”
A statement signed by Elder Godwin Osademe and Comrade Fidelis Egugbo for the family and children of the deceased respectively, stated that the remains of the deceased would be buried on Saturday, December 30 at Ugiliamai, Onicha-Ukwuani, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.
