Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has sent condolences to the immediate past Deputy Governor of the state, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, on the death of his mother, Mrs. Pinapina Otuaro.
Mrs Otuaro reportedly died on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Group Medical Hospital, Mosheshe Estate, Effurun, at the age of 87.
Condoling with the Otuaro family, Governor Oborevwori, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba on Thursday, told the former Deputy Governor and the family to take solace in the fact that their mother lived a good life during which she contributed invaluably to the cause of humanity.
He paid glowing tribute to Mrs Pinapiba Otuaro for being a good mother and joined the family and the Ijaw nation to mourn the departed matriarch of the Otuaro family.
According to the governor, the family should be consoled in the fact that their matriarch lived to witness the successes of her children, including the emergence of His Excellency, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, as Deputy Governor for eight years.
“We received the news of the demise of your beloved mother with sadness, but we are consoled by the fact that she lived a life of dedicated service to humanity.
“Mrs Pinapina Otuaro was a strong pillar in her community, a disciplinarian and a devout Christian and would be missed by all those whose lives she affected in positive ways.
“We share in your sorrow and pains at this period and we pray that God will grant you and the rest of the family the courage to bear the loss, as we also pray for the repose of the soul of your departed mother.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I mourn with you, my dear brother and immediate past Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, on the unfortunate demise of your beloved mother,” Oborevwori said.
