The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is set to swear in newly elected chairmen of local government councils in Delta State.
On Saturday, the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, DSIEC conducted elections for Chairmen and Councillors for the 25 local government areas of the state.
It was reliably gathered that the elections were generally free, fair and the outcome accepted by the electorate.
According to a terse statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Protocol, Government House, Asaba, Mr A.N. Tetsola released on Sunday and made available to NewsDen, the swearing in ceremony will commence at 10 am at the Event Center, Asaba.
It reads:

‘Kindly be informed that His Excellency the Governor will Preside over the Swearing in Ceremony of the Newly Elected Chairmen and Vice of the 25 LGAs in the State on Monday 15/7/24 at Event Centre Asaba at 10am.
You are most respectfully invited to the ceremony, pls.
