DEPUTY Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor, has felicitated with the wife of the Delta State Governor, Dame Edith Okowa who clocked the golden age of 60 years, Tuesday June 1, 2021.
The Deputy Speaker who spoke to some journalists in preparation for the birthday anniversary, said the first lady had shown to Deltans through her activities her worth as she had touched lives within this period.
Hon Ochor pointed that her philanthropists’ gestures has endeared her to many who had encountered her in life, as she had carried out life transforming projects, especially through her 05 initiatives, which many who are deprived in one way or the other had been touched, and lives transformed.
He gave glowing accolade, in many ways, including as she had over the years been part of the husband’s political projects.
“Her Excellency, Dame Edith Okowa her shown to Nigerians, especially Deltans her worth. She have touched lives, through her activities, especially through the 05 Initiatives, which many had been touched through the various outreach programme organised to take care of many who is disadvantaged in one or the other.”
“She is a mother to many of us, she is active partner in the governors Stronger Delta project, for the good of the state.”
“At 60 years of age. This is the age known as the golden age. It’s an age many want to get to in life.”
