A prominent leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Chief Godwill Obielum, has expressed optimism that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s choice as running mate to the presidential candidate of the party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, will add value to the party’s quest to rescue the country from the All Progressives Congress (APC’s) misrule.

Obielum, in a congratulatory message to the governor, said in searching for a running mate, the presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, set his standards, bearing in mind the enormity of the task ahead of the party before and after winning the election come 2023.

He stated that it was gratifying to know that Governor  Okowa happened to be the round peg for the round hole after wide consultations with critical stakeholders.

Chief Obielum affirmed that the vice presidential candidate personified the seriousness the current state of the nation presented .

He noted that Governor Okowa had, through his giant development strides, demonstrated the real essence of governance, adding that his choice as running mate to Atiku would ensure a robust ticket and campaign, as well as help to bring focus, discipline and stability to the government come 2023.

Chief Obielum called on all PDP leaders and members in the country to work together to enable the party win the elections and provide security, revive the economy, improve education and more importantly unite the country.
