Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has been described as a detribalized man who believes in delivery of desured result rather than looking at where an individual hails from.

Sir Anthony Chukwu, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Non-indigene and Community Development dropped the hint on Monday while assessing the activities of the governor within the past one year.

According to him, non-indigenes who are in the state have full sense of belonging in the state and are enjoying the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as Governor and Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, as Deputy Governor.

“It is difficult to differentiate non-inidgenes from indigenes of Delta State, the administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and Sir Monday Onyeme have made it such that non-indigenes enjoy what the inidigenes are enjoying as benefits of democracy, so, there is no discrimination of any kind in Delta State.

Delta State “Open for Business” Says Oborevwori

“It is a fact that within one year of being  in office, Governor Oborevwori and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme have done so much for Deltans, including non-indigenes who we can comfortably describe too as Deltans because that is the way they feel and that is how the governor sees them and relate with them.

“Non-indigenes no doubt, are contributing to the development of the state’s economy, but beyond that we can say that in the past one year, more persons have entered the state from different parts of the world because it is conducive for business activities, the people are also, very receptive and government programmes are not discriminatory in any way.

“As an individual, I congratulate the governor and his deputy for successfully completing one year in office, one year of great achievements, especially in attracting development to our communities and we are confident that the days ahead will be better and more prosperous for everybody.

“For non-indigenes, they should continue to abide by the rules, think positive and contribute positively to the development of the state for us to have full benefits as Deltans,” Sir Chukwu said.
