The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, on Friday, urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to remain united.
He made the call at a Thank You rally organized by the party at Ushie, Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to the deputy governor, when the people are more united, the party will be stronger and record more victories in areas that they lost in previous elections.
He thanked members of the party in Ndokwa East led by Chief Godwill Obielum for organizing the rally, asserting that with what Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is doing with the MORE Agenda, the party will remain strong in the state.
The Deputy Governor urged the the PDP family in Ndokwa East to continue to support Governor Oborevwori’s administration, assuring them that Deltans, especially, the people of Ndokwa East will enjoy a lot of democratic dividends as they have vibrant representatives in the House of Representatives, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, in the House of Assembly, Prince Emeka Osamuta, among others.
Earlier, the Chairman, PDP Chairman East chapter, Hon Vincent Oshilonya said the rally was necessary to thank the people for their loyalty to the PDP despite challenges during the last general election.
The Commissioner for Primary Education in the state, Dr Kingsley Achibogwu, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Asaba, Sir Christopher Osakwe and PDP leaders in Ndokwa East attended the rally.
