The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, on Sunday, paid condolence visit to the wife of late Major Babs Agali, Dr Mrs Nnenna Agali,in Benin City, Edo State.
Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State, Engr Dan Ossai, Commissioner for Urban Renewal, Hon Michael Anuka, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House,Sir Christopher Osakwe, were among those who accompanied him on the visit.
Onyeme said the visit was to console the immediate family that Major Babs Agali left behind.
He stated that the deceased was very dear to him and the PDP family in Delta State.
The Deputy Governor disclosed that he was shocked to receive the news of Major Agali’s death adding that his death would create a great vacuum for the immediate family and PDP in the state.
Onyeme described late Major Babs Agali as a father, a mentor, a friend and confidant who was very dependable.
While signing the condolence register Onyeme said, “My father, my mentor, my friend and confidant, you left without saying goodbye. We cannot question God. May you enjoy eternal rest with our lord, amen.’
He urged the family to take solace in God and stay strong while planning for the final burial rites.
It would be recall that Major Babs Agali until his death on Sunday, January 28, 2024 was a community leader and chieftain of the PDP. He Passed on after a brief illness at the age of 70, who will be missed by friends, family and political associates.
