Chief Isaac Onyesom, has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on the affirmation of his election by the Supreme Court, saying no more distraction for the delivery of the M.O.R.E. Agenda.
It would be recalled that the apex court last Friday, dismissed the appeals of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressive Congress (APC), and Ken Pela of the Labour Party (LP) challenging the victory of Rt. Hon. Oborevwori in the governorship election.
In a congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Asaba, Chief Onyesom who is titled Omenosa, said, “the judiciary, has again, affirmed the will of the people.
“This judgement was expected by the majority of Deltans who voted massively for the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the last general elections.
“With this verdict, there will be no more distractions in our state, the Governor, his Deputy and all well-meaning Deltans will team up to make the state great.
“I congratulate our Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, Deltans and all lovers of democracy for this victory recorded both at the polls and the judiciary.”
Chief Onyesom who is also, the Executive Assistant to Governor Oborevwori on Security, stated that the M.O.R.E. Agenda of Governor Oborevwori would advance Delta State, asserting, “obviously, to any discerning mind, our Governor has started well, the programmes of his administration are on course, so, we are happy that we have a Governor who is loved by the people and is working for the people, democracy is really on course in Delta State.”
