The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ndokwa West Chapter has been thrown into mourning following the passage of one its leaders, Major Babs Agali (rtd).
Major Agali according to family sources, died after a brief illness at Abuja where he had gone for medical care. He was of Ward 6, Ogume in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.
Speaking with journalists, the Chairman of the PDP in the area, Ogbuefi Lucky Okuji stated that the news about the passage of the party chieftain came as a surprise to members of the party.
Ogbuefi Okuji said, “with a sad heart, we received the news about the passage of one of the pillars of our party, Major Babs Agali.
“Major was a dedicated party man who was always around and it is unfortunate that he had to go to the greater beyond when we are still savouring our victory at the polls and at the judiciary.
“Members of our party are in mourning mood and if we can feel the loss the way we are feeling now, one can imagine what members of his immediate family are going through and we commiserate with them.
“Most of us saw him as members of our families because of the way he related with us; he was a man that has personal relationship with those he had contact with and we pray that all who heard about his passage will take solace in the fact that he lived a good life.
“To members of his immediate family, they should be consoled and be aware that they are not alone in this their trying period, may the soul of our leader, a great party man, Major Babs Agali through the mercy of God, rest in peace.”
Major Babs Agali, played prominent roles in the PDP and was always coordinating the security apparatus of the party in the area.
