The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential aspirant, Mr. Peter Obi telephone has been stolen by the pickpockets at funeral in Amesi of Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
He had attended the funeral of the father of the PDP Governorship candidate in the Anambra State November 6 Governorship poll, Chief Valentine Ozigbo, where the phone was stolen.
An eyewitness told our correspondent,
“Peter Obi’s phone has just been stolen where he is attending the burial of the father of Chief Val Ozigbo at Amesi in Aguata Local Government Area.
“Obi is in total dispair now as his phone can not be traced. The person who stole it has switched it off.
“It is not clear how the pick-pocket stole the phone from him without a trace.
Speaking on the matter, a Senior Police officer in the State who pleaded anonymity said, “Advise him to report at the nearest Police Station for discreet investigation.
Meanwhile, the late Chief Ozigbo, who died at the age of 92, was the father of Chief Valentine Ozigbo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the 2021 Anambra Governorship election.
In a brief address, Chief Ozigbo expressed his gratitude to the several Clergy members, friends, and well-wishers, who took the time to commiserate with his family.
On behalf of the Ozigbo family. I thank you all for honouring our father, Chief Andrew Ozigbo, who was known as a man of peace, We do not take the sacrifice of your time for granted, and I pray for God’s blessings on you and your families,” Chief Ozigbo said.
The highlight of the evening’s event were electrifying performances by several notable musicians, including Fabian, Blessed Modesta, Evangelist James Arum, Gozie Okeke, Chioma Jesus and Anyi Dons.
