Following Police confirmation that former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Joan Onyemaechi has been released from kidnappers’ den, Deltans have taken to the social media to celebrate her release.
Hon. Onyemaechi was forcefully kidnapped by gun-wielding men on July 30 from the premises of King Jesus and I Church located off DBS Road, Asaba.
On Friday, Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the release of the former lawmaker.
Reacting to the news of her release, one of her close confidants, Mr Onwordi Ngozi Fortune, wrote on his Facebook wall, “Thank You Jesus!
“Our testimony is now complete. Only King Jesus can save.
“Welcome home Hon. Joan Onyemaechi – Ada Anioma!
“Thank you everyone for tarrying with us in prayers. Indeed, our God answers prayers.”
Also, a politician from Aniocha South Local Government Area, Hon. Joe Ikenwe wrote, “Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. #1Corinthians15V57

Mr Lazarus Nkwor also, confirmed the release of Ada Anioma when he wrote, “Thank You Jesus!

As at the time of going to press, the police has not given further information as to what transpired, whether ransom was paid or the dare-devil kidnappers were caught.
I thank God Almighty for the release of Joan Onyemaechi.This is a testimony that you are serving a living God. I plead with you to ignore those negative comments made during the period of your incarceration and forgive all those who made such comments bearing in mind that to err is human to forgive is Divine.
