THE Member Representing Ndokwa West Constituency in Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Hon. Charles Emetulu has congratulated Nigerian Teachers as the world marks “Teachers’ Day”.
Emetulu who is the Chairman, Delta State House of Assembly Committee on Education, observed that teachers in Delta State in particular deserve to be appreciated because of their commitment to moulding characters and preparing the youths for future challenges in line with the the theme for this year’s celebration, “THE TRANSFORMATION OF EDUCATION BEGINS WITH TEACHERS.”
The lawmaker stated that the teaching profession unarguably remains the topnotch of all professions in the world, thereby charging teachers to remain steadfast in their chosen profession, be proud of it, and pursue their career diligently to the zenith.
“I join the rest of the world to warmly congratulate every Teacher as we celebrate the annual World Teachers’ Day, today.
“The theme of this Year’s celebration is motivational and inspiring.
“Therefore, I will not hesitate to urge the Nigerian Teachers to leverage on the theme, and vigorously put in their very best and revitalize our educational sector to be able to produce youths that will make our society a better place.
“The Teaching profession is the pride of all professions in the world.
“I congratulate you on this day and also share in your joy. I salute your unalloyed commitment to quality service delivery and above all, thank you immensely for imparting knowledge and moulding characters”.
”Teachers should be encouraged and celebrated as the future growth and development trajectory of Nigeria, particularly Delta State is heavily dependent on our quality of education which in itself has its roots in the quality of teaching by teachers”, he concluded.
