REV. Fr. Hilary Ibegbulem, has said that nobody can serve God without loving his neighbour.
The Priest made the statement on Sunday morning in a Homily that he delivered during the celebration of the Holy Mass at the Catholic Church of the Ascension, Asaba, Delta State.
According to him, “Jesus made it clear that the greatest of all Commandments is to love your neighbour as you love yourself.
“The theme for reflection is, the Commandment of Love; love God and love your fellow human beings
“We should have enough time to love our fellow human beings the way God wants us to love them.
“The time that we have in this world should be utilized to show love; that is what distinguishes who is a Christian, the show of love for our fellow human beings.
“Jesus made it clear that the greatest of all Commandments is love your neighbour as you love yourself.
“If you love God, you must love your fellow human beings and if you love your fellow human beings, you have shown that you love God.
“God created us in His own image and likeness, so, avoid hurting your neighbour because by so doing, you are hurting God, show love wherever you find yourself with your action and with such, you will distinguish yourself as a child of God.”
The Holy Mass featured special thanksgiving by parishioners.
